Occupational safety and health
Occupational safety and health is a collection of technical, medical, legal, psychological, pedagogical and other activities which are used to identify and eliminate risks, i.e., risky events such as hazards, damage and exertion, which could endanger the life and health of persons in the workplace.
Occupational safety and health, as a set of interdisciplinary activities governing the measures, procedures, principles and rules of occupational safety and health, in order to eliminate or reduce risks at work with basic (designed, technical) measures, i.e., bring them to an acceptable level, and, after the application of occupational safety and health measures and the established level of risk, reduce the remaining risk to an acceptable level by applying special (organizational) occupational safety and health measures.
